About Gratitude Squared

I’m Mary and write on my blog, Gratitude Squared. I prefer creativity with artistry sprinkled with bits of philosophy, previously a university scholar, compassionate for others, and deeply involved in advocacy and inclusion for human rights for people with disabilities. In 2017, I was diagnosed with a serious illness and prepared to die. However, nearly five years later I am very alive and extremely grateful to see life’s joys daily. Even with a recurrence in 2022, I love sharing aspirational and inspirational messages, and want to help you find your own gratitude. Thank you for going along this journey.

Nature Gives Us Joy and a Forest Bathing Soak

I offer this post during the wintertime for any person suffering from a Nature Deficit Disorder caused by a dark, gloomy, cold, chilling winter in some parts of the country. This gratitude post is categorized as #gratitudeultra following the classifications I described in a post on February 28, 2021 titled, Your Choice: Gratitude Zero, Gratitude Lite, or Gratitude Ultra.

How Did I Get to Gratitude? My Audio Story

This is my story of my journey to gratitude. I classify it as #gratitudelite according to a posting on February 28, 2021 titled, Your Choice: Gratitude Zero, Gratitude Lite, or Gratitude Ultra. You will learn that initially I started a You Tube Channel now titled, GratitudeSquared & Aspiring Thru Healing to Health. Later I began to blog about Gratitude because I am healthy after a very serious illness. Enjoy the audio/video now. This video is offered for persons who do not like to read or who are on the go, or have disabling conditions and enjoy listening to information.

Look Up to the Clouds!

We need to spend more time looking up in life. This posting talks about looking up and is classified as #gratitudelite according to the classification system I described in my post on February 28, 2021 titled, Your Choice: Gratitude Zero, Gratitude Lite, or Gratitude Ultra.

This audio/visual display is provided for people on the go who like to listen rather than read, and/or for an individual with a disabling condition who can not read. Please enjoy the clouds for a brief moment while listening and remember, in the future, look up!

Pets Give Us Joy (Audio)

This post first appeared on February 27, 2021 before I developed the system to classify different types of #gratitude in a post on February 28, 2021 titled, Your Choice: Gratitude Zero, Gratitude Lite, or Gratitude Ultra. I classify this post as #gratitudezero although it approaches #gratitudelite if you spend much time thinking about the statistics presented.

This posting is an audio version for persons on the go who do not have time to read, or may have disabling conditions so that they can not read. Enjoy this post and give gratitude for our pets as well as our children.

Mask ON, Mask OFF (Audio)

Are you trying to decide whether or not to wear a mask? On March 11, 2021, I posted 10 reasons to wear or not to wear a Mask. Wearing a mask is, in part, part of a cultural phenomena, as is gratitude. See my post titled, Be Mindful: Gratitudes are Cultural Phenomena on March 3, 2021.

This posting is categorized as #gratitudelite following a classification system that I described in my posting on February 28, 2021 titled, Your Choice: Gratitude Zero, Gratitude Lite, or Gratitude Ultra.

The following audio and video post is for the reader who does not have much time to read, or may have a disabling condition, or who is simply on the go. Remember, YOU have the choice: Mask On, or Mask Off. Have gratitude that you have that choice!

Gratitude Hunters (Audio)

On March 10, 2021 one of my followers spotted a car and sent me this photo. It is amazing to watch this #gratitude community grow and share. Below is an updated audio version of the first posting. Following my February 28, 2021 posting titled, Your Choice: Gratitude Zero, Gratitude Lite, or Gratitude Ultra, this post is #gratitudezero.

I invite everyone to continue to “hunt” for gratitude in your life. Enjoy this story! And, enjoy listening to the story rather than reading about it!

Events That Make The World Go Round – Story of Carmen Tarleton (Audio)

On February 22, 2021 I learned the story of #CarmenTarleton when watching the #TodayShow. It was a terrible story of domestic abuse and survival. This post is an example of #gratitudelite according to my categories posted on February 28, 2021 titled, Your Choice: Gratitude Zero, Gratitude Lite, or Gratitude Ultra.

This posting is an audio version of the earlier post for persons who prefer to listen rather than read posts. It is a perfect example of how one individual may find #gratitude even in the midst of unspeakable experiences.

Your Choice: Gratitude Zero, Gratitude Lite, or Gratitude Ultra (Audio)

After 32 posts on #gratitude I developed this classification system to assist us in understanding different types of #gratitude. On February 28, 2021 I posted the narrative titled, Your Choice: Gratitude Zero, Gratitude Lite, or Gratitude Ultra. To date, there are now well over 60 posts and I now label each topic posted for ease of understanding each type of gratitude. I hope this will be helpful to all as we continue our journey and follow our pathways to joy and fulfillment. On March 9, 2021, I posted an organizational Model within GratitudeSquared.com to label all of the posts to date. Henceforth, I will tag the type of gratitude within each posting. For example, this post is tagged as #gratitudeultra.

There is no better or lesser type of gratitude, just more momentary or sporadic, versus deeper and more emotionally long lasting forms of gratitude.

For individuals who prefer to listen to posts, or who prefer to experience posting through sight and sound, I offer this audio version of the three categories of gratitude: #gratitudezero, #gratitudelite, or #gratitudeultra.

Each and every day it is always your choice to find your #joy.

#Gratitudezero or #Gratitudelite or #Gratitudeultra Your Choice!
